3 Weeks Old

Well...bought a nice swing for Mr. Man and he hates it. I really wanted him to love it so mama could get some much needed rest. Nope. He likes his Boppy seat that vibrates which is fine too but he stirs a lot. Hopefully I am close to the peak of the hard hours so they start to get easier. He is so much fun though and super happy. He is starting t coo a little bit and I recognize his cries now.

2 Weeks Old

2 weeks flies by! At his 2 week appointment he weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and he is doing awesome. He is getting animated and it's fun. I am beat...this is hard right now at night. I know it will get easier but man I thought I was mentally prepared for motherhood and it is still taking a while to get adjusted. It rocks though. He is the light of my life.

Check out his karate pose...he is a Ninja.

1 Week

This week was a busy and hard adjustment (which I am still not fully adjusted to yet) so I was unable to snap a bunch of pictures (which is a little disappointing to me). Here are two cute ones of him napping on his Daddy.

Rylan Knoxx Ellsworth 03/24/10

What a fun day! It started off a little scary. I had been in the hospital for severe bleeding the day before and they were inducing labor on Wed morning at 6am. My OB came to see me around 8am and told me my placenta was starting to abrupt from the uterine wall and it had split some. He said there were exposed arteries that can be a risk to a vaginal delivery if broken. He said he thought I could deliver without any trouble but there is a risk of having to do a VERY fast emergency c-section. I went ahead and opted for the c-section to elimate that risk. An hour later, there he was! 7 lbs 9 oz and 19.29 inches long and perfect in every way.
